Look! An actual PADS email!

So, I'm running my mail server on 2.2 (aka potato). So how come, when I try and issue a "sudo" command, so I can run something with root's priveleges, it asks me for my USER password, and not the ROOT password:

turgon@workhorse:~$ sudo tail -f /var/log/mail.log
Password:

At that point, I have to enter the password for "turgon", who is the user I'm logged in as, and not the root password.

On all my other systems, I have to enter root's password to use sudo. Now, granted, at one time root's password and turgon's password were the same, but they are not the same now. I did verify that much, at least.

sudoers file:

# sudoers file.
#
# This file MUST be edited with the 'visudo' command as root.
#
# See the man page for details on how to write a sudoers file.
#

# Host alias specification

# User alias specification

# Cmnd alias specification

# User privilege specification
root ALL=(ALL) ALL
turgon ALL=(ALL) ALL

Thoughts?

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
