I suggest setting "Are replies to a post directed to the original poster
or to the list?" to "List" under "General Options".

The initial reply to the last thread I started was sent to me instead of
the list because of the current setting of this option.  The current
setting also tends to result in posters getting two copies of replies to
their posts (one to the list and one to them personally).  My suggestion
will result in one reply, sent to the list more often.
